just as a side question .. how do you like your sirius subscription? costs not too bad? how about content ... 24/7 music? overall happy with the stuff? i'm thinking about making the hop ...

I agree it's worth the $10 or so a month. I'm and XM user and really like it. The lossy compression they use leaves something to be desired, but the variety of tunes makes up for it.

Is there a difference between the two (Sirius vs. XM). I too have been tempted to switch to satellite- FM sucks anymore. Are one of the two better than the other- content/ sound-wise? Does bad weather affect it like it may do for sat. TV?

Sound quality is the same AFAIK. The content is really up to an individual; I prefer XM; there's quite a bit of live jamband stuff and bluegrass. I've never had a problem with the weather. Ever.
